The Dayton Parts 06-407 is a 6-point axle (spindle) nut with a dowel pin, used on Rockwell J and L axle drives. The nut sets wheel bearing adjustment on the spindle, and the dowel pin locks it in place so it cannot back off. Nuts are replaced when the threads are damaged, the flats are rounded, or the pin no longer seats.

Before you order: confirm your axle is a Rockwell J or L. Cross-reference numbers include 12-414, L1352, 1227-V-516, WA07-5415 and 2092340. Check the photos for the quantity included.
