The Bendix K031529 is a slack adjuster for heavy-duty air brakes. It links the brake chamber pushrod to the S-cam shaft and turns the chamber's push into the rotation that applies the shoes. Slack adjusters are usually replaced when pushrod stroke goes out of limits, when the unit stops adjusting, or when the splines or clevis are worn.
