The Cardone 20-282P1 is a remanufactured power steering pump built from a Ford core. It pressurizes fluid for the steering gear; a failing pump whines, groans when turning, makes steering heavy, or leaks at the shaft seal.

Before you order: match 20-282P1 with a Cardone lookup for your Ford, and compare the pulley, reservoir and fittings in the photos with your old pump. Hardware is not included. Flush the system so debris from the old pump does not reach the new one.
