About this part

The Clopay 1042027 is an EZ-Set torsion spring set for a double-wide garage door, built with a single spring. Torsion springs counterbalance the weight of the door; when one breaks, the door becomes too heavy to lift and the opener strains or stops. EZ-Set systems use Clopay's own winding mechanism instead of loose winding bars.

Before you order: confirm your door uses the EZ-Set system and match 1042027 with the label on your current spring. The seller notes that a small plastic piece is broken, shown in the second photo.

New, open box, never installed, with a broken plastic piece as noted. Ships from Kansas City, MO with tracking.
