The Gates Super HC PowerBand 5VX2000 (V80 8326MCGF) is a banded V-belt: multiple cogged 5VX belts joined by a tie band so they work as one. The band keeps individual belts from turning over or jumping out of the sheave grooves on drives with shock loads or vibration. Banded belts are replaced when they crack, glaze, slip, or the tie band separates.
