The Yamaha 5VY-16325-20 is a steel clutch disc, made in Japan and still sealed in its factory packaging. The steel discs give the friction plates a flat surface to grip against inside the clutch basket. When steels overheat they warp or discolor, and the clutch drags in neutral, creeps forward at stops or slips under power.
