This Hastings piston ring set is a drop-in set for an 8-cylinder engine with a 4.125-inch bore. Each ring pack is sized 5/64 x 5/64 x 3/16 inch, in iron with a phosphate finish and standard tension. Rings are renewed during a rebuild when blow-by, oil burning or low compression show the old ones are worn.

Before you order: measure your bore and ring groove widths against 4.125, 5/64, 5/64 and 3/16, and compare the Hastings part number 661 (HAS-661). Drop-in rings are made for a bore that is already at the listed size.
