This is a pair of KONI (ITT) shock absorbers, part number 97A 1004 013, for locomotive use. Shocks like these damp the movement of the suspension springs so the body does not bounce or sway. They are replaced when they leak oil, lose damping or their mounting bushings wear.

Before you order: match 97A 1004 013 with the label on your shocks. Both units carry the same number, with date code 37-2025, and they are sold together as a set of 2. Compare the mounts and length with the photos. They show minor storage marks.
