The Martin S315 is a steel spur gear with 15 teeth, 3 diametral pitch and a 5.666 in. outside diameter. Spur gears transmit power between parallel shafts, and this one has to mesh with a mating gear of the same pitch. Gears are replaced when teeth chip, pit or wear thin, often after a shock load or a lubrication problem.

Before you order: confirm the 3 DP pitch, the 15-tooth count and the 5.666 in. outside diameter, and check the bore and hub against your shaft using the photos.
