The MotoRad 7420-195 is a fail-safe thermostat that opens at 195 °F. If the engine overheats, the fail-safe locks the valve open so coolant keeps flowing to the radiator. Thermostats are replaced when the temperature gauge stays low, runs hot, or swings, or when coolant system service is done.
