This Point One head stud kit is for Ford Modular V8 engines, 4.6L and 5.4L. Head studs take the place of the factory head bolts and clamp the cylinder heads to the block more evenly, which helps keep head gaskets sealed under high cylinder pressure. They are usually installed during a head gasket job or a performance build.

Before you order: this is a partial kit. It includes long and medium studs, nuts, washers, assembly lube and a brush as shown, but the small bolts in the reference image are not included. Check the photos against what your engine needs.
