About this part

The Rovner Dark 1RL Ligature & Mouthpiece Cap is a high-quality accessory designed specifically for clarinets. Made by the reputable brand Rovner, this ligature provides a secure and precise fit for clarinet mouthpieces, ensuring optimal performance and sound quality. The dark color adds a sleek and professional touch to any clarinet player's setup, making it a popular choice among musicians looking to enhance their instrument's capabilities.

The Rovner Dark 1RL is a fabric ligature with a mouthpiece cap, sold for clarinet, and the title also lists alto sax. The ligature holds the reed against the mouthpiece, and Rovner's fabric design is meant to give a darker, warmer tone than a metal ligature. Players replace a ligature when it stretches, the screw strips, or the reed no longer seats evenly.

Before you order: Rovner sizes follow the mouthpiece, not only the instrument, so check that the 1RL matches your mouthpiece model. A thick hard-rubber mouthpiece and a slim metal one take different sizes.
