The CAT 310-7065, also written 3107065, is a planet gear for a Caterpillar planetary gear set, the type found in final drives, swing drives and transmissions. Planet gears share load between the sun gear and the ring gear. They are replaced when teeth pit or chip, or when the bearing bore wears, usually during a final drive rebuild.

Before you order: confirm 310-7065 in your parts book using the machine serial number, and compare tooth count and bore with your old gear and the photos. Many rebuilders replace planet gears as a set.
