About this part

Open box item The product is a Fox 980-24-643 Front 2.0 Performance Series IFP shock absorber designed specifically for Jeep Cherokee XJ 2WD vehicles. This shock absorber is high-quality and offers improved performance and control for the front suspension of the vehicle. Made by the reputable brand Fox, known for their superior off-road products, this shock is sure to enhance the handling and overall driving experience of the Jeep Cherokee XJ 2WD.

The Fox 980-24-643 is a front 2.0 Performance Series IFP shock for the Jeep Cherokee XJ 2WD. IFP stands for internal floating piston: the piston separates the oil from a gas charge, which keeps the oil from foaming and fading on rough roads. Shocks are replaced when they leak, keep bouncing after a bump, or let the front end dive under braking.

Before you order: this is a FRONT shock for the 2WD XJ. Fox builds these for specific lift heights, so check 980-24-643 against your suspension height. Replace shocks in pairs.
