About this part

The FOX 980-24-942 2.0 Performance Series IFP Shock Absorber is a high-quality suspension component designed by the reputable brand Fox. This shock absorber is specifically engineered for performance vehicles and offers reliable and consistent damping for improved handling and control. With its internal friction pad design, it provides smooth and controlled compression and extension, making it an ideal choice for car and truck enthusiasts looking to enhance their suspension system.

The Fox 980-24-942 is a 2.0 Performance Series IFP shock absorber. The 2.0 is Fox's body size designation, and IFP stands for internal floating piston, which separates the nitrogen charge from the oil so damping stays steady and the oil does not foam on rough roads. Shocks like this are installed to replace worn units or to improve control off-road.

Before you order: compare 980-24-942 with the number on your current Fox shock or in Fox's application guide. That number sets the length, mounts and valving for a specific vehicle and position.
