The Gunite AS1140, sold under the Haldex Gunite name, is a heavy-duty slack adjuster for air brakes. It connects the brake chamber pushrod to the S-cam shaft and sets the clearance between the brake shoes and drum. Adjusters are replaced when they stop holding adjustment, the pushrod stroke runs long at inspection, or the splines and clevis are worn.

Before you order: make sure AS1140 matches your application, and compare the spline count, arm length and clevis with your current unit. No accessories, clevis pins or factory box are included.
