This starter motor is for Polaris ATVs, listed for the Sportsman 850, Scrambler and Forest models from 2009 to 2015. The starter spins the engine for starting; it is replaced when it clicks without turning, cranks slowly with a good battery, or grinds against the flywheel.

Before you order: compare the mounting flange, gear and terminal position with your starter, and confirm your model and year. Test the battery and cables first, since they often cause the same symptoms. Nothing beyond the starter is included.
