This GM cast iron master cylinder is a Corvette-style dual-reservoir unit with a 1 in. bore. The master cylinder turns pedal force into hydraulic pressure for the brakes; separate reservoirs feed two circuits, so a leak in one does not take out all braking. It is replaced when it leaks, the pedal sinks slowly, or during a brake conversion.

Before you order: check that the bore size suits your brake setup and booster, and compare the outlet ports and mounting flange with the photos. No push rod, fittings or lines are included.
