The Haldex KN47011 is a manual slack adjuster for air brakes on commercial trucks and trailers. It links the brake chamber pushrod to the S-cam shaft, turning the push of the chamber into the rotation that spreads the brake shoes. Being manual, it has to be adjusted by hand as the linings wear. Slack adjusters are changed when the splines wear, the adjusting mechanism slips, or the stroke cannot be kept in spec.
