The Haldex 40910742, also listed as Haldex 10271, is an automatic slack adjuster for air brakes on heavy trucks, trailers and commercial vehicles. It connects the brake chamber pushrod to the S-cam and takes up slack on its own as the brake linings wear. It is replaced when pushrod stroke runs past the limit, the adjuster fails inspection, or the brakes keep going out of adjustment.
